Arrested accused in rape case
Adoor police arrested Anulal, 25, alias Chandu, son of Harilal, at his house in Arakkal Chandramangalam, Kollam. A 15-year-old woman from Enath was abducted on a bike from Adoor KSRTC junction in early February and taken to a lodge near Alappuzha beach. Based on the statement given by the girl on June 6, the Adoor police registered a case and started an investigation. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by Adoor Police Inspector TD Prajeesh, under the supervision of Adoor DYSPR Binu, arrested Chalakudy today (11.06.2022) on the instructions of District Police Chief Swapnil Madhukar Mahajan IPS.
Goonda arrested from Adoor
Despite being ordered to be expelled from the district under the Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act (KAPPA), the goonda was arrested for violating the ban. Jayakumari (45), also known as Padmanabhan's son Nellimukal Jayan, was arrested from Adoor and Enath police stations on charges of manslaughter, possession of narcotics, tobacco and torture.
